If you use vibrating wire strain gauges, a cost-effective interface module passes the frequency signal through the same communication backbone, so you don’t run separate cables. The data acquisition software runs on Windows and handles time-stamping with NTP or GPS sync. It exports to CSV by default and can push data to a SQL database or an MQTT broker for SCADA integration. For users who script in Python or LabVIEW, there’s a documented API with example snippets. Multiple acquisition units can be synchronized via a simple pulse signal, and the software aligns datasets by timestamp, letting you build a distributed array of 100+ channels without chasing clock drift.
